Sacred Art and Architecture

Students will be introduced to the structural and material characteristics of the Franciscan church, focusing on its sculptural and pictorial decorative elements. The religious scenes depicted in frescoes and stone carvings will be described, along with their creation methods and phases. The visit continues on the second floor to explore sacred art objects and furnishings created by local artists and artisans from across the Alpine region, originating from churches in the surrounding area.
